Maxine M. Nienow's Obituary
Mrs. Maxine M. Nienow, age 85, passed away into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 17, 2014. She was born on July 31, 1928 in Muskegon to Sophias and Agnes Ouwerkerk, and resided in the area most of her life except for some years in Florida. Mrs. Nienow attended Spring Lake Wesleyan Church and was a member of First Baptist Church in Naples, FL where she enjoyed volunteering her time and was very involved in Bible studies. She worked as a school librarian in the Mona Shores School District, and also worked and volunteered in Florida. In 1948, she married William R. Nienow, and he preceded her in death on March 27, 2013. She is survived by two sons, Dennis (Renee) Nienow of Norton Shores, and Robert Nienow of Key West, FL; one daughter, Julie Schullo of Spring Lake; 3 grandchildren, Heather (Robert) Gooding, Brandon (Jennifer) McNeice and Eli Fellows; 6 great grandchildren; and her 4 beloved nieces in Florida, Shirley David, Jan Geraux, Arthea Brimmer, and Barb Mezeski. Mrs. Nienow was also preceded in death by her 5 siblings. In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held. Arrangements by The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S.
