Maynard Ivan Mitchell's Obituary
Mr. Maynard Ivan “Butch” Mitchell, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at his home. He was born in Muskegon on December 28, 1956 to Maynard A. and Carol Ann (Green) Mitchell. Butch was employed by the former General Dynamics/L3 prior to his retirement. He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and cherished his 1976 bike. Butch enjoyed spending time with Cindy at their cabin on Campbell Lake in Hesperia. He is survived by his loving partner of 40 years, Cindy Stromberg; father and step-mother, Maynard A. and Nancy Mitchell; children, Marty (Amanda Johnson) Stromberg, Melissa (Ken) Wiard, and Shelly Stone; grandchildren, Cody, Kayla, Boston, and Jackson; great-grandchildren, Kory, Levi, and Kylan; sisters, Sheryl (Jim) Bronsema and Sue (Steve) Green; nieces and nephews, Nick, Stacy, Riley, Morgan, Timmy, Justin, Mitchell, Madison, and Alex. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Mitchell; brothers, Leonard “Skeet” Mitchell, Timmy Mitchell, and Michael Mitchell; and sister, Michell James. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held. Donations in memory of Butch may be directed to the Harbor Hospice Foundation.
