Mrs. Melba J. VandenBosch's Obituary
Mrs. Melba J. Vanden Bosch, age 75, passed away Wednesday evening, June 6, 2012 in Muskegon. She was born December 31, 1936 to Charles and Clara (Blackford) Scott in Hastings, MI, and moved to the Muskegon area in 1952. Melba was employed at K-Mart on Apple Ave. for 13 years before retiring in 1991, and previously worked at W.T. Grant. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and camping. On November 15, 1952 she married Stanley R. Vanden Bosch, Sr. in Battle Creek, and he survives her along with 5 children, Linda (Richard) Lee, Michael Vanden Bosch, Patrick (Tami) Vanden Bosch, Debbie (Bernard) Mast, Stanley (Patti Ward) Vanden Bosch, Jr., all of Muskegon; 10 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, and 1 sister. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, June 11 at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc.,The Sytsema Chapel,737 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442,(231) 726-5210, with Pastor Stephen E. Rumley officiating. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to the service.
