Melvin "Mel" L. Peterman's Obituary
Melvin “Mel” L. Peterman, of Twin Lake, MI, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2026. He was born on June 6, 1944, to Lester and Delores (Estlack) Peterman in Muskegon, MI. Melvin graduated from Muskegon High School in 1963. After high school he went on and worked his way up to being a general manager of Grand Industries in Grand Haven, MI.
On May 19, 1973, Mel married the love of his life, Jeanne Majeski, and together they spent 53 years making many memories together. He had a love for woodworking and enjoyed making anything he could out of wood. He also had a keen sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh around him laugh. He was a happy-go-lucky type of man and always took pleasure in bringing joy to those around him.
Mel is survived by his wife, Jeanne; two children, Carrie (Vasili) Lazarou, and Kathleen (Tim) Schodowski; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and twin brother, Marvin Peterman. He was preceded in death by his parents.
