Mereline N. "Dot" Musk's Obituary
Mrs. Mereline 'Dot' Hichue Musk, age 88, passed away Saturday evening, October 2, 2004. She was born June 25, 1916 in Aetna, MI to Malcolm and Maybelle (Selby) Hichue and had been a resident of Muskegon County for most of her life. Dot had worked at the Muskegon Community College Book Store for 12 years before retiring in 1974. She was a member of Reeman Christian Reformed Church, Holton Birthday Club, Concerned Hearts Club, and Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel. On October 29, 1938 she married Frank E. Musk, who preceded her in death. She is survived by 3 sons, Reverend Frank Bruce (Judy) Musk of Japan, William (Katharine) Musk of Grand Rapids, Thomas (Nancy) Musk of Kalamazoo; daughter, Carol (Ron) Mast of Twin Lake; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; 1 sister, Ferel Green; 1 step-sister, Vi Norton; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her son, Ross "Butch" Musk; 2 granddaughters, Wanda Musk, Peggy Musk-Henry; and 4 sisters. SERVICES will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at Reeman Christian Reformed Church (6121 S. Fitzgerald, Fremont, MI) with Pastor Les VanDyke officiating. Burial will be in Egelston Twp. Cemetery at 4:00 PM. VISITATION with her family will be from 6-8 PM Monday and from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Ave.(231) 726-5210.
