Dear Mrs. Johnson, I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Johnson's death. I still remember a lot about living next to you in the Heights even though we left when I was only seven. Mom and dad enjoyed the company of the Maffett Street gang for many years, especially mom who enjoyed all your get-togethers. I know mom also appreciated all Merlin's plumbing help over the years. I'll keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. Cindy Eder Anderson

Dear Johnson Family and Friends,
I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dear loved one. Please accept my sincere condolences. May it comfort you to know that The Most High God has resurrected humans on Earth before through His son Jesus, and He promises He will do so again very soon. (Psalms 83:18,Acts 24:15,Revelation 21:3,4)
Thankful that I was able to attend Merlin's funeral today and was so moved by Military closing for the funeral. Such a celebration of his wonderful life with my cousins today.

Merlin and Marian were a great aunt and uncle. When I was in high school they would come and watch every gymnastic meet I competed in, in Muskegon and the surrounding area schools. I always wanted to do well, because they had taken the time to come and watch me! I will always remember Uncle Merlin as a gentle man with a great smile and easy laugh. I think he had a life that was very well lived. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Merlin and Marian are my uncle and aunt. I always loved going to their home in Muskegon and they always made my cousins and me feel so welcome in their home. We loved to play in the woods behind their house. Many prayers be with all of you

I remember Merlin and Marian from my youth, growing up as part of the Samuel Lutheran Church family. It was a special treat to also be "neighbors" at Crystal Lake and have very fond memories of you all. Peace be with you in your time of sorrow. From Diane (Barr) Brace
