Mrs. Merry L. Parker's Obituary
Mrs. Merry L. Parker, 74, passed away Thursday evening, September 9, 2021, at her home in Muskegon. She was born May 8, 1947, to Kenneth and Donna (Simon) Helms in Mount Pleasant and lived most of her adult life in the Muskegon area. She was a U.S. Army veteran serving as a nurse. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and crafting with her sisters and friends. On July 15, 1967, she married Dayton L. Parker and he preceded her in death on July 13, 2001. Survivors include two children: Timothy (Alicia) Parker, Dawn (Roy) Epplett; 8 grandchildren (Brina, Jaden, Brady, Jillian, Miles, Zeke, Ethan, and Mikaela); siblings: Kathie (Tom) Denslow, Julie (Bob) Perkins, Connie (Jeff) St. Peter and Rob (Kelly) Helms. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her sister Elsie Haan. A service to remember and Celebrate Merry’s life will be held Saturday, September 18, at 4:30 PM at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Egelston Township Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Harbor Hospice Foundation.
