Michael "Mad Dog" Anderson's Obituary
Michael Duane “Mike” “Mad Dog” Anderson, age 74, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, January 15, 2025. He was born September 9, 1950 in Muskegon to John and Virginia (Poort) Anderson, Sr. On July 18, 1969, he married the former Carol Lynn Smith in Grand Rapids and celebrated 55 years together. Mike owned and operated M.D. Anderson Construction from 1976 until his retirement in 1999. He built many homes for families during his career, some spanning over three generations. Over the years, he enjoyed boating with friends and family and docked his boat at the Muskegon Conservation Club marina. Mike loved going to car shows, collecting classic cars, and tinkering with them, and was a member of a local Corvette club. He also enjoyed the many four-legged companions he had over the years. If you knew Mike, you knew nobody was a stranger to him. He was very sociable and would give you the shirt off his back if needed. He will be missed by all who knew him.
