Mr. Michael P. Andrews' Obituary
Mr. Michael P. Andrews, age 57, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday evening, September 4, in Muskegon. He was born October 14, 1955 to Julian P. and Joanne E. (Derickson) Andrews in Lima, OH, and lived in several cities before moving to the Muskegon area in 1987. Mike was the Vice President of marketing for Scent-Lok, and previously was employed by Quality Stores of Muskegon and Rink’s Bargain City of Lima after graduating from Lima Central Catholic. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and outdoor affiliated organizations. On July 27, 1974 Mike married Phyllis J. Crow, and she survives him along with 3 children, Kelly (Joseph) Torres of Savannah, GA, Nicholas (Mindy) Andrews of N. Muskegon, Renee Andrews of Savannah, GA; 4 grandchildren, Ivy and Adri Torres, Scott and Adalee Andrews; his father, J.P. “Andy” (Maryann) Andrews of Wapakoneta, OH; 5 brothers and sisters, Janet (Tim) Moore of Lima, OH, Kris (Gary) Higbie of Lima, OH, Diane (Chuck) Knotts of Huntsville, OH, Tim (Mary) Andrews of Lima, OH, Scot (Julie) Andrews of Lima, OH; a half-sister, Lorraine (Mark) McIntosh of Knoxville, TN as well as many nieces and nephews. He was an avid outdoorsman and respected hunter within the hunting industry who appeared on several outdoor television shows. He was also an accomplished artist and musician who kept many close friends. THE MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 10, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, with the Rev. Fr. Anthony M. Pelak presiding.
