Michael B. "Mikey" Austin's Obituary
Michael B. “Mikey” Austin, age 37, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 26, 2023. He was born April 7, 1986 in Muskegon to Michael and Delores (Kearney) Austin. Mikey attended Ravenna High School and worked as a production worker for many years. He was baptized and received his first communion at Saint Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Mikey enjoyed watching movies, playing word games, and the card game, Spades. In his younger years, he loved to play video games. He enjoyed listening to music, history, and politics; he could be very persuasive. But most importantly, he was loving and caring. He will be missed by many. SURVIVORS include two sons: Wayland and Michael “Kayden” Austin; father and stepmother, Mike and Tammy Austin; two sisters: Brandy (Hermina Salis) Austin and Chelsie Austin; sister-in-law, Mercedyz Austin; nephew, Jaden Austin; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Charlotte and Vernon Austin, Elsie Murphy, and John and Geraldine Kearney; his mother, Delores Austin; and his brother, Eric Austin. A Celebration of Mikey’s Life will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the Ravenna United Methodist Church (12348 Stafford St., Ravenna, MI 49451) with Pastor David Selleck officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family to help with funeral expenses will be appreciated.
