Mr. Michael F. Bielaczyc's Obituary
Mr. Michael F. “Mike” Bielaczyc, age 91, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, October 20, 2012. He was born March 7, 1921 in Muskegon to Valerian and Alexandra (Szymanski) Bielaczyc and had resided in Collinsville, IL since 1965. Mr. Bielaczyc was a WWII U.S. Air Force Bombardier Veteran and was a Michigan State University graduate with a Major in Geology and a Minor in Forestry. He worked as a geologist for Bi-Petro in Springfield, IL for many years. His passion was geology, drilling for oil, and his family. He was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville. He married the former Barbara M. Toth in Terra Haute, IN and she preceded him in death on August 9, 2004. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Jamie (Adam) Holtz of Foley, AL, David (Debbie) Bielaczyc of Troy, IL; 1 granddaughter; 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Casey Bielaczyc of Caseville, MI; and sister, Stella Gokey of Muskegon. He was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Chet and Ed; and a sister, Joan. PRIVATE SERVICES will be held. Entombment will take place in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
