Dr. Michael J. Brink's Obituary
Dr. Michael J. Brink of Norton Shores died Wednesday, March 4, 2015. He was born to the late Jerome and Margaret Brink on January 4, 1939 in Pocatello, Idaho. After high school, Michael moved to Michigan to attend General Motors Institute where he earned his BA in mechanical engineering. He continued his education at MSU receiving his master’s degree and doctorate. Michael enjoyed a long career working as a professional engineer for General Motors. Michael is survived by Marylyn, his wife of 54 years; his children, David Brink, Bridjette (Richard) LaVigne and Cynthia (Kevin) Kelly; his grandchildren, Nicholas and Andrew LaVigne and Blair and Tricia Kelly. Michael was a dedicated man who devoted his life to his faith and caring for his family. He was a talented musician, loved the outdoors, and enjoyed traveling with his wife and family. A MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 11:00 AM Saturday, March 7, 2015 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church – Marian Chapel with Rev. Fr. Philip P. Salmonowicz presiding. VISITATION will be 1 hour prior to his service.
