Michael A. Brown's Obituary
Michael A. Brown, age 67, passed away unexpectedly on November 19, 2015 at home. He was born on October 12, 1948 to Mitchell and Arlene (Johnson) Brown Jr. in Muskegon. Mike worked for Prime Products in Grand Rapids as a quality director for 25 years. He served his country in the US Army during Vietnam. As an interest and hobby, Mike was involved in Unruly Brewing Company in downtown Muskegon. Mike lived his life with a ‘one of a kind’ sense of humor, doing things "big", and never going too long without a smile on his face. He loved time with his family and supported them in all their endeavors. He loved watching The Young Americans perform and teach all over the world. He was an enthusiast in more hobbies than you could count, and he was a proud Muskegon and Michigan native. On May 20, 1989 he married, Jean Sullivan-Brown in Muskegon and she survives him along with 4 children, Adam Brown, Jason Brown, Emily Brown and Jeremy Brown; grandson, Max; 2 sisters, Judith Brown and Sandy Ross. He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Matthew Brown. The MASS of CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be held 11:00AM Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, 2929 McCracken. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM Monday at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100. MEMORIALS can be directed to Young American’s Music Education Fund, 1132 Olympic Drive, Corona, CA 92881. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
