Michael D. Dobben's Obituary
Michael “Mike” D. Dobben, born August 17, 1962 left this world to join his Lord, early Sunday morning, surrounded by loving family and friends after a mercurial battle with lung cancer. Michael was an artist in many platforms and mediums. A skilled musician on piano, guitar, Drums have been his favorite instrument since his garage band days. Mike was a poet an amazing artist on paper as well as wood crafts. He worked as a chef at some of Muskegon’s finest eateries. Mike spent the remainder of his years in the construction arena as an independent contractor. Mike is survived by his Mother, Marialyce Dobben (David), Brothers; David, Bartley and Bruce. One sister, Ronda. Paternal and Maternal Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In particular, Tony Watts who has been a critical part of Mike’s life especially during these difficult times. Mike is also survived by his companion, co-hort, conspirator and care-giver, Cheryl Hiemstra and her grandchildren Caiden and Jayce who called him “Papa”, his people who through a lifetime have created an unconditional family. For those wishing to make an expression of sympathy, please consider the Harbor Hospice Foundation. A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Fruitport Eagles (3354 S. Dangl Road 49444).
