Mr. Michael Dean Edwards' Obituary
Mr. Michael Dean Edwards, age 67, passed away Thursday evening, March 29, 2018, at the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence. Michael was born May 20, 1950 in Muskegon to Earl and Margaret (Wymer) Edwards. On August 20,1971 he married the former Sherry Marie Bisson and she preceded him in death on May 9, 2009. Mike had worked in the construction trade for over 30 years and spent the last 10 years as a fabricator for Bishop Heating and Cooling prior to his retirement in 2014. He loved hunting, including mushroom hunting; fishing and following sports, especially the University of Michigan. Michael played league softball and basketball for many years. He was always helping family and friends with heating, cooling and projects with their homes. He was talented and always willing to lend a helping hand. Mike was very much loved by his family and his memory cherished by his children, Jennifer (Jack) Blessman, Melissa (Chris) Chappell, and Eric Edwards; 11 grandchildren, Kellen, Cameron, Zander, Alex, Nathan, Alec, Kaitlyn, Brandon, Owen, Tyler, and Joshua; 10 great grandchildren, Aubrey, Gabriel, Landon, Neveah, Millie, Mason, Elliot, Joshua, Avery, and Kayde; 3 sisters, Deborah (Carlos) Combs, Christine Edwards, and Lisa (Jeff) Lohman; and many nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his parents, and his sister, Merclyn Smith. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, April 7, 2018 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave, 231-726-5210 with Rev. John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service (3-4 PM). MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the Harbor Hospice Foundation.
