Michael Jon Fazakerley's Obituary
Michael Jon Fazakerley, age 73, passed away on October 14, 2015. He was born on November 10, 1941 to Frank and June (Kooi) Fazakerley in Muskegon. He worked as a supervisor for Neway until his retirement in 2000. Mike enjoyed living life to the fullest but had a true passion for sailing and being around the water. He married Marilyn Bierema in 1976 and she passed away in December of 2014. SURVIVORS include his children, Craig (Margie) Fazakerley and Amy (Scott) Werschem; step-children, Shondra (Ken) Primmer, Lesli (Jack) Houghton and Chris (Lori) Baade; grandchildren, Lauryn, Zack, Katie, Kelly, Korin, Kenny, Kendra, Korey, Jordon, Justine, Amber, Allyssa and Cailey; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Mark (Christine) Fazakerley and David (Kathy) Fazakerley; sister, Pam (Bernie) McKenzie and sister-in-law, Shari (Bill) Nyeholt. He was also preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Donald Winchel. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, October 19, 2015 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., 231-798-1100 with Pastor Michael VanKampen officiating. VISITATION will be held one hour prior to the start of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Johnson Family Cancer Center.
