Mike loved teaching his sons everything about fastballs, fireworks and friendships. Mike was born in South Bend, IN and was baptized at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of the University of Notre Dame, which is why he was such an avid Notre Dame fan. He loved playing golf with his Dad, sons and friends. Mike enjoyed traveling with his friends to warm and sunny places. He loved Lake Michigan and you could usually see him down by the beach watching the sunsets. Mike graduated from Muskegon Catholic Central in 1982. As a youngster, he was very interested in his fraternal grandfather’s backyard vegetable garden and his maternal grandfather’s fruit orchard on his farm in Arcadia, MI. After high school, Mike started his working life at a local nursery in quality control. This led him to a career in manufacturing quality control including a number of years at West Michigan Spring and Stamping. At the time of his death, he was the Director of Quality Control at Quality Tool and Stamping Company in Muskegon.
