Michael G. Harrington's Obituary
Michael G. Harrington went home to Jesus on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at the age of 69. He passed away peacefully in his home and was surrounded by family. Michael was born to Robert and Beatrice (Davison) Harrington on November 21, 1952, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He was the middle child with two older brothers and an older sister, along with two younger brothers. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, middle-school sweetheart, Cynthia Woolston; four amazing children, Michael Harrington II, Nicole (Luke) McClain, Matthew (Angel) Harrington, and Kristopher (Lizbeth) Harrington; nine wonderful grandchildren, Erika, Michael III, Noah, Ava, Matthew II, Joshua, Elijah, Emma, and Luciana; his brother, Robert (Patricia) Harrington; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Michael was a truck driver most of his adult life. When he retired, he couldn’t just sit, so he took on a part-time job delivering flowers. He didn’t see it that way though, he always said that he delivered smiles. Michael loved to go on adventures. His favorite thing to do was to walk the Grand Haven boardwalk and pier to catch as many sunsets as he could. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and making his famous popcorn by hand. He was a hard worker and provided for his family. He will be missed, but we will meet again… Michael will be honored in a CELEBRATION OF LIFE CEREMONY on Friday, July 22, 2022 at 11:00am ET at Christian Life Center located at 16765 Hemlock Drive, Spring Lake, MI, 49456 followed by a reception. MEMORIALS in memory of Michael may be directed to the Harbor Hospice Foundation or to Western Michigan Teen Challenge. Arrangements by The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. You may sign his online guestbook at www.sytsemafh.com
