Michael Henry Hartman's Obituary
Michael Henry Hartman, age 64, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. Michael was born in Muskegon, MI, on August 10, 1958, to his parents George and Nancy (Dixon) Hartman. Michael graduated from Muskegon High School in 1976 and went on to work for 43 years as a process technician at Grand Haven Stamp Products before retiring in 2020. On July 31, 1978, he married the former Linda Brubaker, and they spent 44 wonderful years together. Michael loved hunting in Hesperia and fishing and swimming in “the healing waters” of Wolf Lake up at his cabin in Baldwin. He was a very hard worker and was always willing to help others. He was a fantastic cook and grill master, and he loved listening to music, especially Journey, Pink Floyd, and Bob Seger. He had a giving spirit, he was always upbeat and optimistic, and he never complained about anything. His family was everything to him, and they will remember him as a devoted husband and a loving father. He is survived by his wife, Linda Hartman; three children: Lee (Shannon) Hartman, April Hartman, and Lauren (Demarcus Clincy) Hartman; five grandchildren: Kyle Noggle, Emmalee Hartman, Hanna Hartman, Ezekiel Wade, and Harmoni Clincy; one great-granddaughter, Braelyn Hartman; four siblings: Larry (Sue) Hartman, Susan (Sam) Tracy, Ron (Minny) Hartman, and Robert (Lynette) Hartman; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Nancy Hartman; and his stepmother, Julia Hartman. A MEMORIAL GATHERING will be taking place from 2:00-4:00 PM on Thursday, August 25, 2022, in the Family Center of The Lee Chapel of Sytsema and Cremation Services, 6291 Harvey St, Norton Shores, MI, 49444.
