Michael L. "Mike" Lacey's Obituary
Mr. Michael L. Lacey, age 60, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018 at his home. He was born in Muskegon to Legare and Marilyn (Zelinski) Lacey on February 11, 1958 and lived all of his life in the area. Mike had worked as a machinist for over 30 years at various places, including Johnson Tech and DMI in Whitehall. He enjoyed fishing and restoring anything he could from people to furniture. Mike was always helping people who needed him whatever the circumstances. He will be greatly missed by so many of his family and friends. SURVIVORS include his only daughter, Michelle (Keith) Nelski; 2 grandchildren, Jalyn and Jadyn Brown; his mother, Marilyn Lacey; close friend and caretaker, Sheri Moore and her daughter, Becca Moore; 3 sisters, Robin (Stephen) VanderKooi, Pamela Lacey, Katherine Fialek; 1 brother, Jeffrey Lacey; special uncle and aunt, Tom and April Zelinski; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Lagare Lacey and his grandparents. A Celebration of Life Luncheon will begin at 11:00AM Saturday, April 7, 2018 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100. MILITARY HONORS will be offered by the Muskegon County Council of Veterans.
