Michael Andrew Michaud's Obituary
Mr. Michael Andrew Michaud, age 75, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 10, 2025 in Muskegon, Michigan. Michael was born in Syracuse, New York on August 10, 1949 to Donald and Jean (Euson) Michaud. Michael grew up sailing the waters near Thousand Islands in upstate New York. He later attended Syracuse University and was a veteran of the United Air Force, having served in the Vietnam War. After working in the telephone industry and at Jet Corp in St. Louis, Michael had a successful career as a self-employed IT specialist, providing support to small businesses. While living in St. Louis, Michael fell in love with Cyndi McKinney, and they married. In 2012, they moved to a beautiful home overlooking Spring Lake, Michigan. Most recently, Michael lived in a condo on Muskegon Lake, where he cultivated close friendships and was known for his kindness and generosity. An active member of Ferrysburg Community Church, Michael helped start the Sunset Band. He enjoyed playing guitar, and assisting friends and family with their computers. Michael also loved to travel, often with his mother, Jean, or wife, Cyndi, in search of new mountains to ski. Michael is survived by Cyndi McKinney; step-daughter, Carin (Andy Emerson) Tompkins; brother-in-law, Dave (Jo) McKinney; uncle and aunt, Jim and Vicki Beebe; two brothers; one sister and brother-in-law. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 17, 2025 at Ferrysburg Community Church (17785 Mohawk Dr., Spring Lake, MI 49456) with VISITATION one hour prior to his service.
