Michael J. "Mike" Miller's Obituary
Michael J. “Mike” Miller, age 93, met his Heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 14, 2023. He was born on September 29, 1929, to John and Julia (Engle) Miller in Muskegon, MI and has remained a lifelong resident. He graduated from St. Mary’s High School class of 1949. Mike dedicated 42 years to Kaydon Corporation working as a machinist before retiring in 1992. He was also a proud union representative within his community. On August 16, 1952, he married Joyce Rose at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Together they had four sons and three daughters. Mike was a faithful lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He had a passion for gardening and would often donate the vegetables he grew to those in need. Mike enjoyed spending his time out on the water fishing, bowling and watching sports. What he truly loved was all things Polka, whether it was a festival or being out on the dance floor with Joyce. He will be missed by all that knew him. He is survived by his children, Timothy (Diane) Miller, Peggie (John) Grabner, Julie Sidock, Greg Miller and Joseph Miller; 13 grandchildren, Lilly, Evan, Sarah, Jenn, Rachel, Rhonda, Jason, Valerie, Scott, Bailey, DJ, Jacob and Amy; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joyce Miller; daughter, Mary Jill Miller; son, Michael J. Miller; three sisters; 11 brothers; and daughter-in-law, Becky Miller. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 E. Summit Ave., Muskegon Heights, MI 49444. Mike will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
