I just wanted to echo what my brother said. I remember Mikey showing us Sonic and letting us play his video games. My mom always told me how close she and Mikey were growing up, that he was like a brother. She spoke of his interest in ancestry, which she shared so I bet my mom and he are having a great time meeting all the people they've discovered over the years.
I'm sad to hear that we lost cousin Mikey. He was a very special person to our family, and especially to our mom, Cheri. They were born so close together and seemed so similar.
Angela, Erin, the Lees, and Gerharts could get pretty wild swimming and tubing on the lake, and Mikey always just seemed happy to be home and to see we were having fun as a family. I hope we can find a little bit of peace knowing he's with his cousin again. Until we're all together again, I will keep thinking about him when I play Sega games, look at my stack of comic books, eat homemade pizza, and watch 80s anime with my kids.
