Michael J. O'Toole's Obituary
Mr. Michael J. O’Toole, age 91, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 5, 2021 at his home. He was born on October 14, 1929 to Thomas and Virginia (Martin) O’Toole in Muskegon. A lifelong resident of the area, Mike worked at Teledyne Continental Motors in sales and marketing for 33 years, retiring in 1984. He married the former Loretta Musser on August 5, 1949 in Reno, Nevada and she preceded him in death on April 11, 1999. Mike proudly served his country while in the United States Army. He enjoyed playing tennis, golfing, hunting, and fishing for trout. Mike cherished the time spent with his family and is survived by his sons, Patrick O’Toole and Timothy (Wanda) O’Toole; grandchildren, Michael (Danielle) O’Toole and Angela (Jesse) Luce; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Kale, Abigail, Isabelle, and Connor; sons-in-law, Kevin Krupp and Ed Brown; and daughter-in-law, Diane. Along with his wife, Loretta, Mike was also preceded in death by his son, Michael O’Toole; daughters, Connie Krupp and Karen Brown; granddaughter, Sarah O’Toole; brothers, Martin O’Toole, Thomas O’Toole, Brian O’Toole, and Patrick O’Toole; and sister, Virginia O’Toole. Mike and his family would like to thank Paula Martin for taking wonderful care of Mike when he needed it. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11AM Saturday, February 13 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (2929 McCracken St., 49441). Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to the service, from 10-11AM. Memorial contributions may be directed to St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Muskegon Catholic Central, or Harbor Hospice Foundation.
