Michael J. Parker's Obituary
Michael J. Parker, age 68, passed away suddenly on Sunday, August 23, 2020. He was born on April 1, 1952 to John and Mary (Stanton) Parker in Muskegon. Mike was a long time member of Faith Baptist Church. He proudly worked in maintenance at Wesco Inc. for 51 years. Besides his church and work, Mike truly loved his grandchildren, family vacations and deer hunting. On July 15, 1978 he married Linda Elliott and she survives him along with 2 children, Joshua Parker and Samantha (Mike) Delgado, 3 grandchildren; Dominic, Zachary and Bryan; brothers, John Jr. and Dennis Parker; sister, Darlene Hibbs and special cousin, Barbara Heyd-Olds. He was preceded in death by his mom, Mary Parker; brother, Jimmy Parker and mother-in-law, J. Darlene Elliott. VISITATION with Mike’s family will be 4-7pm on Friday, August 28, 2020 at The Lee Chapel (south portico) of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444 and one hour prior to the service at church. FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, August 29, 2020 at Faith Baptist Church (3593 Whitehall Rd.) with Pastor Jim Swieringa officiating.
