Michael R. Porter's Obituary
Michael R. Porter, 70, passed away early Wednesday morning, September 30, 2015. He was born April 21, 1945 to Raymond and Margaret (Blake) Porter in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. Mike had been a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and many years ago had worked at Goodwill Industries. Survivors include his sister, Marrianne Houseman of Muskegon; his sister-in-law, Jane Porter of Nunica; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and a great- great-niece. Mike was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Jackie; brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Sandra Porter; his brother Pat Porter; and his brother-in-law Virgil Houseman. The funeral service for Mike will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 5, at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., (231) 798-1100 with the Rev. Fr. Michael P. Olson officiating. Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service.
