Mr. Michael J. Ryan's Obituary
Mr. Michael J. Ryan, 62, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018, in Muskegon. He was born July 5, 1956 to Jack and Mary (Timmers) Ryan in Grand Rapids, and lived most of his life in Grand Rapids and Muskegon. He was employed as a butcher for the Meat Block, volunteered at the Muskegon Rescue Mission, enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. Mike also enjoyed cooking big meals and spending time with his family. Survivors include 4 children: Amy (Ben) Klaassen, Holly (Brent) Bierman, Stephanie Ryan, and Michael Ryan; 4 grandchildren: Montana, William, Kaydence and Zed; his father: Jack (Cam) Ryan; 2 sisters: Susie Ryan, Cindy (Joe) Waskul; his uncle: Dick (Julie) Ryan. He was preceded in death by his mother: Mary Ryan. The funeral service will be Thursday, November 8, at 11:00 AM at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., (231) 726-5210. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 7, from 6-8 PM, also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery. You may visit the family’s online guestbook at www.sytsemafh.com.
