Michael Frank Sodini's Obituary
Michael Frank Sodini, aged 74, of Muskegon, Michigan, peacefully passed away on December 26, 2023, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on September 19, 1949, Michael was a devoted husband, a loving father, a wonderful big brother and a cherished friend. His unwavering principles, including his foundational commitment to Christ, were a guiding force in his life, influencing his actions and character and inspiring him to embody love, compassion, and service.
Michael's values were evident in his community involvement. He dedicated much of his time to the Y's Men's Club and Lion's Club, embodying the spirit of service and compassion. His selfless service reflected his commitment to serving others in the same way Christ served.
In addition to his volunteer work, Michael's generosity as a friend reflected the principles of love. Always ready to lend a helping hand or offer encouragement, he embodied the values of kindness and compassion.
Michael is survived by his wife, Diane Sodini; daughter, Emily (Brian) Leigh; son, Barry (Jess) Sodini; six grandchildren, Jaxson, Bella, Riley, Ean, Caitlin and Benton; brother Jeff (Nancy) Sodini; two sisters, Margo (Greg Vandenberg) Sodini-Johnson and Becki (Frank) Coles; and best friend of 74 years, Bradley Dulyea. His loyalty created a foundation of support and warmth cherished by this extended family and dear friends.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Margaret Sodini, with whom he is now reunited.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at Fellowship Church, 4200 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442. Family, friends, and the Muskegon community are invited to attend, sharing memories of the warmth, humor, and wisdom he brought to those around him. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 29, 2023, at Laketon Township Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to YMCA Camp Pendalouan in Michael's memory, continuing his legacy of service, love, and devotion to Christ.
