Michael Raymond Stube's Obituary
Mr. Michael Raymond Stube, age 84, passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026 in Twin Lake, Michigan. He was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 6, 1941 to Elmer “Bud” and Leona (Wilson) Stube and moved to Michigan in 1943. Michael graduated from Hile Middle School and Muskegon Catholic Central High School in 1960. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He married the former Emily Baird on April 16, 1966 and she preceded him in death in 2001. Michael worked as a serviceman for Reed Tire Service until 1972, Dresser Industries until 1983, followed by the Norton Shores Department of Public Works until his retirement in 2002. He also served for 27 years with the Norton Shores Fire Department, achieving the rank of Captain. He was a life member of the Lakeside Veterans Club, the Muskegon Eagles Club, the American Legion, and the Mona Lake Boat Club. An active member and dedicated volunteer at each, he also served on the board of the Mona Lake Boat Club for several years. Michael is survived by his sons, Dave (Nikki Baker) Stube and Jim (Alicia) Stube; six grandchildren, Shana (Kelly) Micheal, Malia Stube, Spencer (Journey) Stube, Travis (Kennedy) Stube, Chase Stube, and Lani Virag; great-grandchildren, Emily Micheal, Sutton Stube, Dezirae Virag, Boston Stube, Katelyn Micheal, and Brendan Micheal; very special friend, Carol Ann Boersema; two sisters, Dee (Steve) Horan and Sallie (Ron) Thomas; and many nieces and nephews. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and a CELEBRATION OF HIS LIFE will be held at the Mona Lake Boat Club later this spring.
