Michael Alan Witham's Obituary
Michael A. Witham “Mike”, age 81, passed away on April 16, 2025, at Butterworth Hospital- Grand Rapids, MI. He was born on December 27, 1943 in Muskegon, MI, to Kenneth and Ruth (Moore) Witham.
Michael spent nearly three decades as a Produce Manager at Plumb's Grocery Store before retiring in 2009. His true passion, however, was baseball - he served as an umpire for the East Muskegon Little League for over 40 years. When not behind home plate, Michael enjoyed golfing and making people laugh. A devoted family man, he cherished the time he spent with his children and grandchildren. Michael also took great pride in his role as an usher at the L.C. Walker Arena, a position he held since 1992.
On August 1, 1964, Mike married the love of his life, Linda Kramer at St. Mary’s in Muskegon, MI. Mike is survived by his wife Linda Witham; 2 sons, Scott Witham and Randy (Yvonne) Witham; 1 daughter, Amy (Clarence) Witham-Fout; 5 loving grandchildren, Alyssa Witham, Ashley Witham, Tony (Deanna) Witham, Eric Witham and Austin Witham; and 8 special great-grandchildren, Kendra, Candice, Bradley, Brennen, Emma, Brody, Easton and Carson; special nephew, Rick (Rose) Witham, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Kenneth “Pep” Witham; and a dear friend close to his heart, Ralph Burr.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442, with Pastor William Rudd officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service.
