Michael C. Snider, Sr.'s Obituary
Michael Cletus Snider, Sr., age 69, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, December 18, 2011. Michael was born August 10, 1942 to Jack and Irene (Pargoris) Snider in Muskegon. He attended Central Assembly of God where he sang in the choir and participated in many church pageants and performances. He was a member of Holton American Legion Post #397 and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His SURVIVORS include his children, Michael Snider, Jr. of Norton Shores, MaLinda (Jeff) Spoelman of Grandville, Chanda Snider of Louisville, KY, and Chad Snider of Muskegon; 13 grandchildren, Paul (Nicole), Michael III, Morgan, Kevin, Jason, Elizabeth, Shelby, Samuel, Sara, Christopher, Ashley, Zaza and Hailey; 3 great-grandchildren, Zoe, Kadin and Kingston; his brother, Tim Snider; 2 sisters, Patti Buurma and Loretta McLaughlin; his former wife, Paula Cooper; step-mother, Violet Snider and many nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Craig, Jack and Bruce. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 22 at Central Assembly of God, 896 Home St., with Rev. Douglas W. Hill officiating. Full Military Rites will be afforded under the auspices of the Holton American Legion Honor Guard. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service (10-11AM) at the church.
