With much reflection, memories, and sadness, I send my condolences to all in the family, especially, Phyllis. It is with much fondness that I vividly recall my days in Grand Haven in the company of Mike, a very gregarious gentleman. I can only imagine the friendship that my father, Emery L. Konrady, had with Mike from their days in the streets of Gary, Indiana. I remember two men, two distinct individuals, respecting one another, with family and friends enjoying the energy generated by both. It is my wish now that I may also one day earn the respect that Mike possessed in my eyes. A man can only love profoundly when he is respected and in return gives respect to others...this is the impression I hold from Mike till this day...
