Michael F. Conroy's Obituary
Mr. Michael F. Conroy, age 59, passed away Friday, March 19, 2004 in Muskegon. He was born November 14, 1944 to Frederick and Isla (Lapplea) Conroy in Muskegon and has lived here most of his life. Michael had been a member of Local 174 – Plumbers and Pipe fitters Union for 30 years and retired in 2003. He graduated from Ravenna High School in 1962, attended two years at Muskegon Community College, and attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical Institution in Florida. After college, he served his apprenticeship for the plumbers and pipe fitters. Mr. Conroy was a member of Mona Lake Boat Club. On June 23, 1973, Michael married the former Marilyn Petersen in Muskegon, and she survives him along with 2 children, Jody Gifford, Leslie (James) Stein; 4 grand children: Kelsey, Trent, Riley, Mackensi; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 1 daughter, Kimberly Conroy who died March 30, 1987; 1 sister, Jacqueline “Jackie” DeNio; and his parents. A funeral SERVICE will be held at 3PM Wednesday, March 24 at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 737 Apple Ave., 231-726-5210
