Michael J. Langlois' Obituary
Mr. Michael J. Langlois, age 59, passed away Friday morning, November 13, 2009, at St. Mary’s Hospital, Grand Rapids, MI. He was born February 4, 1950 in Pensacola, FL to Donald A. and Phyllis D (Schultz) Langlois and has resided in the Muskegon area since 1951. Michael was a graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central and had been employed by Knoll Group and then by the Muskegon County Road Commission for 17 years prior to his retirement in 2004. Michael was a member of the Lakeside Eagles and enjoyed nature, hunting, fishing, camping and yard work. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Michael B. (Micah) Langlois of Breckenridge, CO, Adrienne Langlois and Carly (Steven) Crow of Muskegon; 2 grandchildren; Jadyn Midkiff and Carsen Crow; his mother, Phyllis Langlois of Muskegon; best friend and care provider, Edna Bower; 5 brothers, Donald, Jr. of Muskegon, Thomas of South Carolina, Mark (Michelle) of Puerto Rico, John (Sandy) of Copemish, MI and Matthew (Kim) of West Palm Beach, FL; 6 sisters, Sandra (Daryl) Derby of Fruitport, Margaret Witt of Norton Shores, Frances Saylor of Thompsonville, MI Deborah (Jim) Nielsen of Muskegon, Laura (Terry) Strait of North Muskegon and Marlene Schennefield of Muskegon; and by many, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held 11 AM Saturday, November 21, 2009 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey Street, Norton Shores, MI 49441 (231-798-1100)with Rev. Fr. William Langlois presiding. VISITATION with Michael’s family will be one hour prior to the service. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS to Muskegon County Catholic Education Foundation will be appreciated.
