Michael J. Sinkiawic's Obituary
Mr. Michael J. Sinkiawic, dedicated husband and father, age 57, went to be with his Lord Monday, May 10, 2004 in Muskegon. He was born August 9, 1946 to John and Anna (Tuminskas) Sinkiawic in Rockford, IL and lived there for 25 years. He then moved to the Muskegon area where he has lived the past 23 years. Mr. Sinkiawic served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Michael was a very active member of Lakeside Baptist Church for 23 years where he served as a Deacon, was a member of the Christian Education Board, was an A.W.A.N.A. Leader, and a Sunday school teacher. He also served as President of The Gideons International, Muskegon Camp. Mr. Sinkiawic was employed by Yale Lift Tech for 20 years. On September 13, 1980 he married Christine Straley, and she survives him along with 4 children, Jennifer (Darryle) West, Renee Sinkiawic, Emily Sinkiawic, Audrey Sinkiawic; 1 granddaughter, Sahara West; 1 sister, Ada (Ken) Conley, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, John Sinkiawic. A FUNERAL SERVICE for Mr. Sinkiawic will be 3:00 PM Friday, May 14, 2004 at Lakeside Baptist Church with Rev. Ronald W. Johnson officiating. VISITATION with the family will be Thursday, 2-4 and 6-8PM at
