I am so saddened to hear of Mike's sudden illness and passing. what can I say of Mike? I had known Mike since elementary school and throughout the years - he had been our mailman when I was raising my kidsin my family home and he was always a cheerful face when I saw him delivering our mail or on the street or by chance, around town. He is a part of my childhood and my life and his memory will remain with me forever. I am so very sorry for your family and please know that your family....and Mike....are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was shocked to hear of Mr. Hood's passing. It seems like only yesterday I was catching up with all of you at Vic's on a Friday night. This hits all too close to home as I too lost my dad just 2 months ago to cancer. It's never easy, but find strength in the lord and know that Mr. H is in a better place where he is no longer in pain. I will truly miss him as he was a great man who just glowed whenever Ella's name came up. My thoughts and prayers have been with your family all week and will continue to be. Jan & family...I am shocked to hear of Mike's passing. I would see Mike daily as he delivered our mail at Borns in Harbourfront and fondly remember him always coming into my office and giving me a hard time about Michigan State, and my co-worker Kate about Ohio State. I would then tease him how we were going to beat Notre Dame in whatever was the current sporting season. He was always so fun to talk with. I saw him a few times after he retired and could tell that he was enjoying spending more time with his family. God bless you all and may the Lord bring you peace and comfort during this time.
