Michael L. Christian's Obituary
Mr. Michael L. Christian, age 57, died Thursday, March 25, 2004 at his home. He was born on July 23, 1946 in Muskegon to Ernest and Marguerite (Stafford) Christian, and had resided here his entire life. On September 10, 1976, Michael married Darlene L. (Graham) Christian. She passed away on October 2, 2002. Mr. Christian worked as a production control manager for 27 years at Howmet Corporation in Whitehall, MI. Michael and Darlene owned & operated the Bottom’s Up Bar until 1995. He also worked as a Production & Quality Manager at Goodwill Industries of West Michigan. He was a life member of the Muskegon Motorcycle Club, the Muskegon & Fremont Chapters of H.O.G., the American Motorcycle Association, and the White Lake Eagles # 3214. For 27 years, he was Supervisor of Off Ice Officials for the Muskegon Mohawks, Muskegon Lumberjacks, and currently the Muskegon Fury. SURVIVORS include his nephews, David & Jon Christian and Blake Graham; nieces, Mary Hurst, Ruth & Kathy Christian, Katherine and Kennedy Graham; sisters-in-law, Barb Christian, Janet & Marilyn Graham; brothers-in-law, Robert & Thomas Graham; two special aunts, Lorna Puisis and Reathel Marcotte. Mr. Christian was preceded in death by his wife, Darlene, his parents, and one brother, Glenn Christian. SERVICES will be 11:00 am Monday at the Sytsema Chapel with Pastor John H. Brown officiating.
