Michael M. Duff's Obituary
Mr. Michael M. Duff, age 73 passed away Monday, July 18, 2011 at the VNS Hospice House. He was born on November 7, 1937 to Elmer and Vivian (Senecal) Duff in Muskegon. Mike was a member of St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Mike worked as a School Principal for the Department of Defense, working in many countries around the world. He moved back to West Michigan after retirement but stayed busy substitute teaching for area schools. SURVIVORS include 6 siblings, Mary Louise Erickson of Muskegon, Denny (Suzanne) Duff of Muskegon, Patricia (Richard) DeLong of Otsego, MI, Maureen Duff of Danville, CA, Jean VanSlambrouck of Douglas, MI, Joseph (Dianne) Duff of Gaylord, MI; 12 nieces and nephews: Jon and Kelly Erickson, Kimberly Kanaar, Brian, Bruce and Peter Duff, Steven DeLong and Sara Schroder, Carisa Ferraioli, Angie VanSlambrouck, Brynn and Genne Duff; aunts, Jean Senecal, Hazel Duff, Adelaige Duff and special friend, Alberta Brown. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Annette Duff and niece, Renee Duff. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be celebrated 10 AM, Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Matthew Barnum as celebrant. VISITATION with Michael’s family will be one hour prior to the service and during the gathering after the service in the lower level. INTERMENT will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
