Mr. Micheal Lee Goodwin Sr.'s Obituary
Micheal Lee Goodwin passed away at home following a long battle with lung disease; he was 65. Micheal was born December 31, 1952, in Muskegon to Miles and Delores Goodwin. He had four sisters, Evonne, Annette, Carol (Greg), and Brenda. Micheal worked for CMI Noren/Alcoa for 35 years and was a former owner of Winston Motor Speedway. Racing was Mike’s lifelong passion. He raced, promoted, flagged, and owned a track. He was involved in every aspect and it fueled his life. Mike is survived by his girlfriend and godsend, Kristal Buckhout; best friends, Bob and Norma Calliff; son-in-law, Scott Wenell; his 3 children, Lisa Holt, Michael Jr., and Carrie (Kevin) Downey; 6 grandchildren, Robyn, Caden, Jacob, Aubryn, Allyssa, and Braelyn; and one fur baby, Otis. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be held from 11 AM- 2 PM Sunday, July 1, 2018 at The Fruitport Eagles, 3354 S. Dangl Rd. Arrangements by the Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey, 231-798-1100.
