Michele Diane Coles' Obituary
Mrs. Michele Diane Coles, age 63, passed away unexpectedly Friday, March 10, 2017 at her home. She was born in Muskegon on November 17, 1953 to Max and Barbara (McMahon) Jacobs and had lived in the area all her life. Michele had been employed at Brookhaven Medical Care Facility prior to her retirement in 2015. She had previously been employed at Seaway Convalescent Home and Hillcrest Nursing Home. In her younger years, Michele enjoyed playing softball and bowling. She spent many seasons coaching her boys little league teams and continued to support the Oakridge sports program as a season ticket holder and dedicated football fan. Michele also enjoyed bird watching, and most recently found enjoyment in sewing and knitting. On March 4, 1977, Michele married James H. Coles in Muskegon and he survives her along with their three sons, Benjamin (Sarah) Coles, Michael (Shara) Coles and Jeremiah (Kymiri) Coles; seven grandchildren, Austin Alan, Hailey Marie, Claire Alise, Miles Benjamin, Lillian Michele, Evelyn Rose and River Grace; her mother, Barbara Jacobs; three sisters, Julia (Garry) Willer, Sally (Bill) Jacobs and Lori Jacobs and her beloved dogs, Lil, Dot and Smoky. She was preceded in death by her father and faithful dog, Molly. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., 231-726-5210 with Rev. John Brown officiating. VISITATION will be from 5-8 PM Monday, March 13, 2017 at The Sytsema Chapel. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
