Michele Ann Detamore's Obituary
Mrs. Michele Ann Detamore, age 65, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013 at the Poppen House. She was born on July 13, 1948 in Muskegon to Richard and Kathryn (Nitz) Johnson, and resided in the area all of her life. Michele worked for Hackley Hospital for 10 years and St. Mary’s Hospital for 22 years before retiring in 2006. She loved shopping and crafts, but most of all her grandchildren whom she helped raise. On August 28, 1981, she married Richard “Rick” Detamore, and he survives her along with her son, Robert Morrison Muttart of Muskegon; 2 grandchildren, Stephanie Lynn Muttart, and Zachary Daniel Muttart; brother, August (Nancy) Johnson; 3 sisters, Reneé Johnson of Muskegon, Christine (Richard) Johnson of Hesperia, Kathy Johnson of Muskegon; and 5 step-brothers and sisters, Jack Wilson, Suzie DeYoung, Ron Wilson, Bob Wilson, Pattie Fitzgerald; uncle, Robert Johnson; and aunt, Peggy Billingsley. Michele was preceded in death by her parents. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 11AM Thursday at The Sytsema Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Rev. Gerald Hagans officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 10-11AM. Memorial Contributions to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.
