Michelle Lynn Messer's Obituary
Michelle Lynn Messer, age 38, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2019, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born February 18, 1981 to David and Sharon (Pack) Strong in Muskegon, and was a lifelong resident. Michelle worked at G.E. Aviation for 16 years. Her family was the highlight of her life. She loved camping and their many trips to Cedar Point and Florida. She especially enjoyed time spent at home in the pool or playing board games. Cheering her children on at their many sporting events brought her great joy. Michelle will be remembered for her strength, optimism, and one step at a time attitude during a challenging time. On June 17, 2006 she married Timothy R. Messer, and he survives her along with 2 children: Mallorie and Zachary Messer; her mother and father: Sharon and David Strong; 1 sister: Jennifer (Andrew) Anderson; in-laws: Shelley and Mike Messer; brother-in-law: Charles (Kerry ) Messer; sister-in-law: Shanna Messer; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Michelle will be Monday, December 23, at 11:00 AM at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. Visitation will be Sunday, December 22, from 2:00 – 5:00 PM, also at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Laketon Township Cemetery. Contributions in Michelle’s memory may be made to Spectrum Health Hospice or the Kids' Food Basket.
