Mickey Workman's Obituary
Mickey M. Workman, age 76, died Thursday, June 1, 2006 at her home. She was born on January 3, 1930 to Ray and Anna (Hughes) Gillan. Mickey had resided in the Muskegon area her whole life, except a nine year period in Schaumburg, IL, before retiring from GTE after many years of service, and returning to Muskegon. Mickey enjoyed many things including, shopping, golfing, ceramics, photography, jig saw puzzles, and yard work. After retirement, she was a volunteer at Hackley Hospital, Frauenthal Theater, Party in the Park and many other organizations. SURVIVORS include 2 children, daughter, Nancy Frank of Vandalia, MI; son, Tom Workman of Spring Lake; 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Mickey was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Anna, and brother, Charles Gillan. MEMORIAL SERVICES will be 1 PM Saturday at Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210. Mickey is a willed body donor to Michigan State University for education and research.
