Mike J. Matuzeski's Obituary
Michael J. “Mike” Matuzeski, age 66, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017 in Muskegon. He was born on May 14, 1951 in Muskegon to James and Joan (Longstreet) Matuzeski, and resided in the area his entire life. Mike served his country in the Michigan National Guard. He loved many things, including gardening, collecting antique toys, the Muskegon Big Reds, nature, and fishing, but most importantly his grandchildren and his relationship with God. On October 13, 1973, he married the former Margaret Weinert, and she survives him along with two children, David (Jennifer) Matuzeski, and Julie (Daniel) O’Neill; four grandchildren, Adriana Matuzeski, Kendall O’Neill, Quinn Matuzeski, and Madelyn O’Neill; brother, David (Patty) Matuzeski; two sisters, Carol (Marv) VanderWall, and Mary (Bob) Kramer. Mike was preceded in death by his daughter, Andrea; his parents; and two brothers, Joe Matuzeski and John Matuzeski. A Celebration of Mike’s life will be 1PM Monday, September 18, 2017 at Harvest Bible Chapel North Muskegon (1910 Ruddiman Dr. North Muskegon, MI 49445) with Pastor Brian Bement officiating.
