Mike O. Yell's Obituary
Michael O. Yell, born June 10, 1937 to Abraham and Fannie (Kleinbach) Yell in Petoskey, MI passed away at his home on Wednesday, December 11, 2019. Michael graduated from Petoskey High school in 1955. A lifelong resident of Muskegon. Mike worked for Howmet for over 40 Years, retiring in 2001. Mike was an avid hunter and Skeet shooter. As a member of the Seaway Gun Club he won a number of trophies. He was a kind soul with a generous heart. Mike loved music and even recorded a CD in Nashville. He will be remembered fondly by his family and friends. He is survived by his two daughters, Kerry (Chris) Hanslits of Simpsonville, SC, Tammy (Charlie) Worm of Brodhead, WI and 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren also 4 siblings, Chester (Carma) Yell, Hattie-Sue Kalbfleisch, Elmer Yell and Beverly Savage. He was preceded in death by his son Michael Yell and 3 brothers Abraham Yell Jr, Horace Yell and Robert Yell. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 18th from 3-6 pm with brief service at 5 pm at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave, Muskegon, MI 49442.
