Mildred B. Pruett's Obituary
Mrs. Mildred B. Pruett, age 93, went to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 4, 2023. She was born in Senath, Missouri on February 10, 1930 to James and Lila (Johnson) McGrew. Mildred was a nurse prior to her retirement. She was a long-time member of Evanston Avenue Baptist Church, where she was active with Sunday School, Care Group Bible Study, and the shut-in ministry. She was also a girl scout leader and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, gardening, and working in her flower gardens. On February 25, 1949, Mildred married Leroy Pruett and he preceded her in death on January 4, 2004. She is survived by her daughter, Pam (Arvid) Fansler; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Kara (Steve) Hammond and their children, Mitchell, Mason, Addison, and Michael; Kaley (Jesse) Trevino and their children, Jayden, Emma, and soon to be baby Carter James; Sidney (Jeanne) Fansler and their children, Zackery (Chelsea), Taylor, and Morgan; Shane (Carrie) Fansler and their children, Paige, Chelsea, Tucker, and Violet; and Chad Fansler and his children, McKenzie and Lauren; seven great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Mildred was preceded in death by her son, Steven Pruett, her parents, and seven siblings. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, March 13, 2023 at Evanston Avenue Baptist Church (1188 Evanston Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442) with Rev. Adam Dollar officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to her service at church. A private family burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
