Mildred L. "Millie" Hogan's Obituary
Mrs. Mildred L. Hogan, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, went home to be with the Lord on Monday afternoon, January 3, 2011. Born July 27, 1920 in White Cloud to Harley and Louise (Nestle) Richards, she had lived in Muskegon since 1937. She married Fred “Hogie” Hogan on March 21, 1942 and he died April 4, 2000. She retired from Bemus Tek Mold in 1982, and attended Kainay Church. Millie liked to cook and play shuffleboard. She also enjoyed spending time at their property in White Cloud, and wintering with Hogie in Zephyr Hills, Florida. Her sense of humor and unconditional love shown to her family and friends will be deeply missed. HER SURVIVORS include a daughter, Linda (Norman) Thompson of North Muskegon; three grandchildren: Mike Thompson, Michelle Thompson, and Mark Thompson; seven great-grandchildren: Brook Cunningham, Michael Thompson, Dusty Thompson, Molly, Katie and Luke Thompson, and Dirk Riley; and a great-great-granddaughter, Gracie Lyn Storms. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and special friends Mary Jo Alex and Ann Argetsinger. Her parents, four sisters and six brothers, and husband, Fred, predeceased her. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be held for Mrs. Hogan 11:00 A.M. Friday, January 28, 2011 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444, (231)-798-1100
Rev. David Cadle will officiate, and interment will be made in Laketon Township Cemetery. VISITATION will be at the funeral home from 10-11 A.M. Friday, January 28th. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to the Muskegon Rescue Mission or Bridge to Life Ministries.
