There are so many memories of Mrs Sandwick I don't know where to begin. I remember her standing out by the road to catch a ride to work, so that Barb and I could have the car to go to school. We couldn't ride the bus!! Or the time we had her new car and a driver in the left lane turned right - into us. Many nights she would sit on the couch in the dark and wait for us to come home. Here we came tiptoeing in, trying to be quiet and there she sat. Then we'd all get something to eat and go over the evening. Who did what, who was with who. She was a big part of my high school years. She made her home welcome to us all. I'll miss you Mildew.##imported-begin##Peggy (Fohlbrook) Damm##imported-end##
I wanted to express my condolences on your mothers passing. My mother said she was named after Mildred and remembers her back to the time when she was the student and your mother was the teacher. She holds many fond memories of your family. I mostly remember how we could buy a five cent candy with three penneys, one bobby pin and a bottle cap. I also remember the safety and hospitality of the store and your family. May memories comfort and prayers ease your loses.##imported-begin##Judy Barnhart, Daughter of Lee Roy (Barney) and Mildred Barnhart##imported-end##
We were so sorry to here of Mrs. Sandwick's passing. We have so many fond memories of living next door to her. She was always so good to the boys and so kind to us. She usually had more energy than I did, too! I'm sure she will be missed by all.

I lost contact with Mildred over the years, but thought of her often. Whenever my wife and I drove down Old Grand Haven Road I was always reminded of her. We often talked about her and often said we should stop and see how she was doing.
Mildred was one of the most likeable tenants I have had. I was always impressed with the closeness of her family and the support she received from her children. We are proud of the time we shared with her. . . she was a quality person.

To the family of Mildred Sandwick:
I would like to express my sympathy on the loss of Mildred. She was wonderful to my mother Lucy Bartels who passes away in June. Mildred was always there to help her with anything and my mother especially appreciated the help she gave her with her Bible study.
Sincerely,
