Mildred "Millie" Wedell's Obituary
Mrs. Mildred “Millie” Wedell, age 88, passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2008 in Ravenna. She was born January 17, 1920 in Ravenna to John and Genevieve (Mainone) Plamp. Mrs. Wedell was a teacher for 29 years in Kalamazoo and Zeeland and retired from Fruitport Schools. Mildred was long time member of Lakeside United Methodist Church. On June 21, 1947 she married Robert Wedell in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on June 8, 1998. She is survived by 4 children, David (Mary Ann) Wedell of Charlotte, NC, Thomas (Nancy) Wedell of Boston, MA, Steven (Beverley) Wedell of Columbus, OH, and Shirley (Danny) Foy of Muskegon; and 4 grandchildren. She is also survived by 1 brother, Jack (Margerie) Plamp of St. Louis, MO and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Marguerite Slocum. A Private Memorial Service will take place in late summer of 2008. Arrangements by
