Milton A. Karnitz's Obituary
Mr. Milton A. Karnitz, age 84, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011. He was born on May 1, 1927 to Harvey and Ellen (Lillequist) Karnitz. Milt was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. He retired from Continental Motors and then later from Muskegon Catholic Schools as a bus driver. Milt served his country in the US Navy during WW II and was reactivated for the Korean Conflict. In his spare time he enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, volunteering at church and visited the shut-in’s. On May 21, 1949 he married Mildred Bullock and she preceded him in death on November 22, 1998. SURVIVORS include 2 children, Bonnie (James) Pendell of Fruitport and Evonne (Ronald) VanSingel of Nunica; 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; brother, Harold (Jackie) Karnitz and sister, Beryl Mauritz. He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Marvin and Melvin Karnitz; Stepmother, Dorothy Karnitz; Stepbrother, Edward Larsen and stepsisters, Shirley Moore and Alice Breault. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Grace Lutheran Church (2651 East Shettler Road, Muskegon, MI 49444) with Pastor Timothy J. Winkel officiating. VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. MEMORIALS to Grace Lutheran Church or Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
